OMG this is great!!!! I've been looking for something that does this to objects that aren't text! It seems as if all 3-d things are for text only! Thank you!

Question...can this be done without the gloss as well?

Yes the filter gives you all the layers just make the glossy one on screen mode invisible. :)

Yep that's the quick fix just as PC said.Change the font size in the gimprc file.
I use comic sans ms in mine and haven't had any trouble with large windows since.
You can also just remove some toggles from the script but that kind of ruins the functionality doesn't it? :)
I had this same problem with animated flames filter. Nice to have all those options but Gimp doesn't know how to create dialogs with enough rows for value adjustment sliders.
I have not had problems with large windows after changing my font size to 10.
You may want to experiment with font faces though.

With gimp-video I'm having the same problem with a lot of the scripts.

That is the wrong gimprc file.
You need to change the one in your USERFOLDER/.gimp-2.7 folder
AND i have only tested this in Gimp-2.6.11 so with Gimp-2.7 versions it may not work.

It's ok. I can't find USERFOLDER in either 2.6, or GAP 2.7 and with Win 7, a lot hides under the taskbar.
