Yep that's the quick fix just as PC said.Change the font size in the gimprc file.
I use comic sans ms in mine and haven't had any trouble with large windows since.
You can also just remove some toggles from the script but that kind of ruins the functionality doesn't it?

I had this same problem with animated flames filter. Nice to have all those options but Gimp doesn't know how to create dialogs with enough rows for value adjustment sliders.
I have not had problems with large windows after changing my font size to 10.
You may want to experiment with font faces though.
With gimp-video I'm having the same problem with a lot of the scripts.
and is this is where I change it? I see no change.
