I think the filter is a very good idea. Is there some way to keep the original picture intact-no blurring or darkening of the picture and colors, and have the lead lines placed over the picture like the real stain glass look. With the filter, some have too numerous lead lines. Almost looks like what is done to crystallize. That would really be nice.

is this something you would like better?

That last idea is nice Dinasset. Although I personally like more the classical way. It's a fantastic filter. :bigthup

Yes! I like #42 post better. It is more like real stained glass. The image is not distorted and the lead lines are more like stained glass. Did you change the filter or just the settings?

If you like it, that's very easy:
- no change in the filter
- run it only paying attention to nr of colours and size of tiles (you may try many presets until you find the best "stained glass" configuration of tiles and stain)
- let visible only the top layer, the brl, the bottom background, all the rest of layers set to not visible
that's it
try it yourself

for Pat :
another example using the excellent image posted by Wolfworx some time ago.
Used default 7 and 15 for colours and tilesize (visible layers: top border layer, BRL 1, BRL Copy 1, Background Layer

...but with this wondeful image for me I would have chosen to let visible also the embellishing layers Sky, Bokeh, Pattern, Plasma; here the result

this is "almost" Pat style, I only kept also the Colour Isophotes layer; nr of colours = 16, tilesize = 10

Yes! I do like the larger tiles and no distortion of the original image. I do like to keep coloring so I will have to practice. Thank you for showing how to do that. When the tiles are too small, looks like I am trying to do mosaic or crystallizing. I like the image light enough to see all the original details of the image.

Hi, new guy here. I have visited here for a long time and have downloaded a lot of the scripts here, but this one just won't work for me. I have GIMP 2.8.16 and I guess it's 64bit since the OS is.
I put the Diego Mosaic Stained Glass.py in c/users/tom/gimp 2.8/plugins folder and I get a error every time I run it. I even tried on a different computer, same thing.
Cartoonizer is in the same folder.
Next I tried putting it in c/program files/gimp 2/Python/Lib folder but still the same error.
This is the error :
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "C:\Program Files\GIMP 2\32\lib\gimp\2.0\python\gimpfu.py", line 736, in response
dialog.res = run_script(params)
File "C:\Program Files\GIMP 2\32\lib\gimp\2.0\python\gimpfu.py", line 361, in run_script
return apply(function, params)
File "C:\Users\Tom\.gimp-2.8\plug-ins\DIEGO_Mosaic_Stained_Glass.py", line 792, in Mosaic_Stained_Glass
True) #keep)
TypeError: wrong number of parameters

Any ideas as to what is going on. I really like this Mosaic script and would love to use it.

Dinasset - I said I would try again, and my conclusion is that there certainly is a 'knack' to chosing suitable photos for this filter. But I do learn ... I did some 'post processing' and turned my results into a tryptich style image.

Hi SeriousTom.

For the "old" users of some plugins Dinasset is obvious - for new users lack the information that you need yet:

Bevel Reflect Logo.scm
http://gimpscripts.com/2014/02/bevel-reflect-logo/

which requires:

ML Bevel Reflect
