I have the spirograph plugin and I'm not sure how it is used. I get that it creates paths. My thing is, after it creates the path, how can it be viewed? Does the spirograph have to be created on a transparent layer?

Do you mean Spyrogimp (under render)? It actually plots these type renderings.

No, I'm referring to Spirograph by Bytes-and-Pixels.com.
It can be found under Filters>Bytes-and-Pixels.com>Spirograph

Don't actually have that one. If it creates paths, then what you do is open the paths dialogue box (I actually have a parked tapped for paths; you may not in your dock) and then you will see the path. If so, all you need to do to use the path is to stroke path.

Yes just move one path a few pixels then right click the path layers and stroke. I usually stroke with a line of 1 pixel.
