Bonjour,
It is a response to a question from Graechan : Resynthesizer binaries (Gimp 2.8 32-64bit)

Hi SamJ, I downloaded the file, unzipped, choose 32 bits version for my PC, loaded all plug-ins and script onto gimp 2.8.4 folder; when launching gimp I get this message: missing entry point "__gxx_personality_sj0 in libstdc++-6.dll"; in the first rough tests this apparently seems not to cause problems, but I would like to hear from you about it: should I download some other version of that .dll from somewhere?
Many thanks

Bonjour,
@dinasset
This DLL is provided in versions Gimp 2.8.4 32bit & 64bit from SourceForge (the official version) and Partha.
It should not be a problem if you are using one of these two versions (I've been testing these 2 versions).
Do you use another version?
EDIT :
You must erase the old version of this plug-in...

Bonsoir, SamJ!
my gimp comes from sourceforge; but examining my folders for gimp,
I noticed that I had two versions of this dll, one of 845 kb, another one of 860 kb; the first one is found on (gimp)/bin, the second one was found in two places, both in (gimp)/lib/gimp/2.0/plug-ins as well as in user/.gimp-2.8/plug-ins; after playing by renaming one of them at a time and trying to start gimp, finally gimp started correctly by renaming (thus practically removing) the one in gimp/2.0/plug-ins.
Problem solved, thanks

Thank You Samj It's just that since your site closed Links to this and other great plugins have gone dead

@Graechan
I do not want to host plug-ins for Gimp.
I would like a single place to download. Unfortunately the site "registry.gimp.org" is too poorly organized to easily find resources
Does anyone have an idea to make these resources available?

I agree with you about the registry of late; glad you can post them here and maybe Tux might migrate these to his Scripts and Plugins site. Definitely appreciate the latest compiles (grabbed a few though I've only lightly commented on them) and am about to grab your lates adaptive edge since I've used this plugin on more then one occasion. Definitely appreciate your efforts on keeping us 64-bit Window's GIMP users up to date samj.

At this time I compile and verify a few plugins that I post here. "gimpchat" is better organized than "registry.gimp.org"

Just played a little with this plugin; fantastic results w.r.t. greyscale conversion. Never heard of this research before. Anyway, thanks again samj.

This one is awesome, samj
A little experiment.

Colour2Grey seems to be a little like Desaturated Luminosity.
It's best to have a
read from the developer.

Bonjour,
Waves of Chaos by David Necas
Filters > Render > Waves of Chaos...
Waves of Chaos renders a snapshot of `solution' of two coupled nonlinear partial differential equations in a chaotic mode (using an integration method probably outside its region of stability ... who cares).
From Gimp prespective it's an expensive method to generate unorganized wavy tileable patterns.
