Ella, your results are so beautiful, I like them a lot as you get a nice balance color. I look for that exactly, too.
Dinasset has created three versions of this effect and I see three different results using the same presets on the same original picture.
The simple version provides the most bright colors at the end. (DTDTS)
About the other versions (1st and 2nd), usually get darker results, so I try to play with layer modes to get a result that matches my own taste, nothing technic and always different for each image. :)
Below the images, I've written my actions for it.
