bokeh is a "strange animal" in G'MIC, because its behaviour differ among releases.
Me too, I had problems with a previous release (but I do not remember wich one), my current is the last 1.6.9 and it works fine. Try to upgrade your G'MIC, it's quite old

Got G'mic updated to 1.6.9... It worked this time.... I think I like the second one better.... but maybe not, now that I look at them together....
