I have found a color vibrance script for gimp. Only problem is, it doesn't work in 2.10. Is it possible for this script to work in the current version of gimp?

Here is the script: https://gimper.net/resources/color-vibrance.113/

I have tried it and I still get error messages. The script fails.

i don't know what value it should be..strange how the script runs on my GIMP 2.10.6 on Linux

I just ran it with default Intensity. Try that maybe the new methods don't allow such a high range
there's some math internally the script does that I am not sure what the maximum Intensity can be.
I tried intensity between 0 and under 1 and it seemed to work.

I tried your way and it still didn't work. I'm running Windows 10. Oh well.

Tin,
I played with this script and it works. The changes are subtle. When I tried a higher intensity then I got the errors that Mackenzieh got. There was something about the value 3.4 in the message. I put the intensity back to 3 and all worked well.

When I played with it, it seemed like I wasn't getting the changes.

Yes, it is subtle. I found that getting the intensity to the 3 level, and then put your color layer opacity up near or at 100 made the change more noticeable. I did not use the inverse saturation mask as I did not like the effect on that photo that I got. I suppose another photo could be different. Try the preferred red/green saturation on some photos that you think are lacking in enough saturation of those colors. Hope this helps. I am saddened when someone takes a nice photo and then ruins it with so much color processing and making it so vivid that it does not look real. Sometimes just the subtle changes are much better.

That is true. Sometimes subtle is best.

I have a little toy for improving colours (there are many around).
This is the outcome selecting the (default) intermediate strength.

You may also use GMIC.

I like your script better. The G'mic filter seems to make the red brownish, and tints the white buildings pink.

Thanks Pat.
If you (and/or other Gimp-chatters) are interested, I can post the little filter here.
Here a full example in the 3 intensity levels.

I downloaded the file. However, the file type is 7Z. Does Gimp accept these types of files and if it does, where do they go?

Post subject:  Re: Color Vibrance

7Z is like .zip. You need the program to unzip it. This is not a Gimp Program. It is for the computer. Do not install it in Gimp
