This is very good private news received from GnuTux and I would like to share it with You:

... I'll try to login more often. I plan to eventually recreate gimpscripts.com, which was deleted and lost when I was in the hospital. ...

What an indomitable spirit? Even if gimpscipts never comes back you gotta admire his courage?

Well, I hope he is alright and in good health. What are we're going to do with gimpscripts.net? I thing the new website is really nice, we should support it, don't you think?

Yes that is good news MareroQ and thanks for sharing

Pohcolo he probably doesn't realize that mahvin has started another one up and I think he would support it too. I mean Gimp Chat & Gimp Scripts were both his and I think he knew he had to sell it and would also be relieved of not having that extra pressure put on him again I'm sure.

It doesn't make any difference if GnuTux decides to redo gimpscripts.com or not. That's his choice, it was his baby.

gimpscripts.net will remain, as there will be 3 others who can keep it rolling should anything happen to anyone else. I'm planning on moving the blog to an independent blog (free, of course) to keep it in the hands of people who want to keep it as an option. The domain name is paid up for 10 years. Other than that, it's not a competition, more like a storehouse of scripts and plugins. Godspeed, GnuTux, I wish him nothing but the best.

To be clear, my posting was just a reaction to the good news GnuTux was well enough to be active on the forum again.
I don't know anything about the scripts sites, old or new.

Yes, I'm sorry if what I said came out the wrong way. My intention on what I said is mostly because I knew of his condition. I also will be glad if he's well, to bring back the gimpscripts.com site. :coolthup

It's all good, folks. GnuTux would probably appreciate having something to keep his mind focused on, and renewing gimpscripts.com is the perfect task to have. I would prefer that he's not deterred from doing that because of gimpscripts.net.

I'm not offended in anyway. I'm actually honored.

Yes, sallyanne is correct and I fully support the new scripts site. There were lots of great scripts that are a hassle to locate using the Wayback Machine, or scattered around all over the net.. not to mention the updates there are required to work with GIMP 2.10.x.

As previously mentioned, it doesn't matter what I think, anyway...
