I just recently installed Gimp2.8 rc1 64bit and was putting in my favorite plugins when i realised it had a 32 folder, as no one could tell me why when I previously asked. I decided to try a mathmap install (and it worked) ![]() Also works in 2.8rc1 64bit portable ![]() Please follow Instructions inside Attachment:

Now why didn't the creators say something then. Why keep hidden gems if they were going to implement 32-bit plugin compatibility. Why? I guess that means I might actually install the enhanced beta afterall. How did you actually install mathmap Grechen; did you just point to the 32-folder or what. Please be exact. Thanks in advance. ![]() |

Yeah; just un-installed 2.8 after I tried to put the plugins in the 32 directory and it didn't work, so must not be so straight forward. lol ![]() |

Just placed the folders/file per your instructions Graechan, but, mathmap doesn't show up for me so guess it's not that easy. Oh well; back to 2.6. lol ![]() |

Going to keep 2.8 installed; re-installed 2.6.12 and it works with all my stuff intact. Maybe will try again to get mathmap working later. Just as a side note, did you get the Filter Factor converter (user filter) working by chance? |

I need to do a better job at reading (you did say that an extra path had to be added for Mathmap). lol It works Graechan. Need to figure out how to get PSPI to work now. Crossing my fingers now. Heap greatful to you. |

I did too Graechan, but it won't work for me; believe I'm placing the files in the appropriate place. Where do you have these files located? ![]() |

The version of parha should work but there are several files that need to be included , i believe you just miss a file at 64 bit.. Also Samij should have compiled..not sure of the link |

All of Partha's plugins for 2.7x worked PC except LqR. I'm thinking it has to do with the dynamic library. Thanks to MareroQ (which he credit's RobA), I can run both version 2.6 32-bit and 2.8 64-bit simultaneously if I need to have LqR (only occasionally use it now). PSPI works, and so does Mathmap so happy camper am I. It will be weeks if not months before I get use to all the changes and also port all the scripts and such like I want them, but am glad that multi-window (don't want to go single window) option works in 2.8; in fact, it was the default for me so I didn't have to do anything. lol Mentioned this on another thread, but, when you try to export a jpeg, the size dialogue only shows 1.3G so there's still an obviousl bug (if not bugs) with 2.8 RC1. Don't know who to contact about this, but it's more a nuisance then an issue since the jpeg saves fine (just don't know what the size will be until after you save it). Going to try to install RiOT soon anyway, so this won't even ever be an issue. ![]() |

Bypass the problem : use "export for the Web" instead then gimp export I believe was compiled also for 64bit, and works very well |
