Very nice Silvertayl! Welcome to Gimp Chat!

How did you do the 3D-like effect behind the text?

O did an excellent job of coming up with a unique animated bling technique for this script, as well as designing all of the patterns. Kudos goes to O on this one!! :bigthup

Thanks ZioDark. I didn't write the script, GnuTux did. I made the sparkle and fill patterns and it was a cooperative effort on both our parts.

I had recently switched to Linux and was upset that I could no longer use Paint Shop Pro and I missed the sparkly text I could make in there. First I had a temper tantrum, then went on a quest to see if I could make sparkly text in GIMP and succeeded. I was a total n00b to GIMP, so it took me awhile. GnuTux picked up my pieces and made a script to use them in.

Regarding installation - you forgot to mention to add paterns to paterns, if you copy all the content including the paterns to scrip folder you get an error. ^^

Nice. ;)

Good point, Vii7. The instructions have been put up by the quote about putting the script in the scripts folder. However the pattern instructions are farther down in the initial post, too. :bigthup
