This Script uses methods described by Hearty here, I'm a bit late to post but it slipped my Mind

GnuTux if you save the layers I think only 3 layers made up the snow and it should be easy to see how they were created or I could add a Alpha-to-Logo script but your finished Logo looks good as does the new 'Logo Workshop' update except I would have liked to see the drop-shadow as a seperate option

Well, I could just use the bits of code you have there to add the snow layer effect directly to the Logo Toolbox script and give you credit. I looked at your code and it will be easy to just drop right into the LT script.

By the way, you can select to do the drop shadow separately in the script or not at all. The only reason I used the approach I did was because of the lack of room on the Create Logo screen. I do have room on the Alpha to Logo screen but I was saving that space for other possible future uses.

Yes we are all limited by the space Wilbur has allocated

:wh @Graechan @GnuTux
In 2 days you both and Fencepost stumbled repeatedly against the same obstacle of dialogues size , and that also caused some delusions in who installed but could not use the scripts :bawl

Now is possible that a limit not of scheme but of the gimp implementation that use the same GUI definition from 2004 (From then were several changes regarding script fu but none regarding its GUI )

Now are excellent reasons to not change what is simple and works well ...
Till works well !!.... now we are stumbling more and more often on the same obstacle

I imagine the solution simple as add to the possible UI definitions "v-sep":
"v-sep" stand for Vertical Separator, it is simple as a vertical line , the utility of the Vertical Separator is create 2 columns instead then 1 , and so double the space available for the controls

It is not as asking support for preview, or radio button, but only for a vertical line , it seems a more then resonable enhancement request for Bugzilla and the dev list

I believe was Kevin Cozens the developer behind script fu implementation and its updates , he mayfor h even better solution
suppose he still follow gimp mailist, and his site dedicated to script and tiny fu and gimp is http://www.ve3syb.ca/software/tiny-fu/ (last update in the 2011 but were no relevant changes after )

I think may be a reasonable enhancement request

COOL! :) No pun intended.

Font is called "Christmas"
I used your script to create a default snow covered text. Then i selected only the text layer and ran my "Lizard Breath" script with hex and squares size 5. Then i selected just the colored text layer (Original-image-layer) , and ran color balance on JUST shadows (99 on Cyan).

Results looked like Christmas candy to me. :jumpclap

Added some snow on that result. Then a gradient background layer so you can see the snow better. :)

Gnu Tux, can you share the pattern you employed at the logo "Seasons Greetings"?

It's called Ice2, Carlos. I'm not sure where I got it. I'll attach.

You might want to look though the following thread too. There are some really nice patterns there.
