Looks like Gimpressionist works very well, thanks Hatti! :)
Would you mind compiling the others also?
lighting effects and map object?

The source code !
I lost my copy of the source code for all those plugin and now i need it

Who has a copy of the source code ? Rod ? Onkel Hatti ?

Please post here zipped so may be compiled also at 64bit and in future builds (as from Partha he too lose the modified code i originally send )

PS i have still for half of them but better groups all
I may confront for changes the 2.8.2 versions but was no documented any change for those plugins so the code should be identical to that from 2.7 (again i may check for difference luckily notepad+ make it easy ,)

I have lighting and map-object.
I also miss gimpressionist. I think I have to re-do it, but I don't have time now.
I think, these files didn't change. They compile very well with the latest git.

oh sorry for your data, you should not reformat before trying to save (but i did the same once just because fed up to fight with Win, i know the mood) it is almost always possible save deleted files (except if are overwritten)

Ah well , whats done is done. :)
I try not to think about it. :lol
The funny thing is i had decided to clean up my F drive about 3 days before it went out.I saved most of my program setups and guitar stuff.
Most family photos had already been backed up and i have 14 gigs of stuff uploaded on MediaFire from the past few years.
Losing all my website stuff is the killer. My tutorial folders...all gone.I really hated to lose those.

Did you overwrite the disc, or is it still available?

Hi Rod,
You can use "TestDisk" it is a powerful free data recovery software! It was designed to help recover lost partitions/Undelete files/Copy files from deleted FAT, exFAT, NTFS and ext2/ext3/ext4 partitions... :bigthup

Esper, I have the same system as you, it works fine with huge preview window.
There is a few Lighting plugins for download on this thread, all with different file-size. I don't remember which one I got,
but I can attach mine if you need it. Let me know.

Lighting is included in standard GIMP package, and it should be where you put it.
I think I know why it's not working for you. In order to have those Large preview window plugins work you need to replace 'tile-small' plugin with 'tile"
I am attaching it with a bunch of other bigger view plugins. Just don't delete your old plugins yet, so you can roll back if something went wrong.
