Hi Mackenzieh.

In the BA Conbagui Welded Text case:
The choice is yours (you can install both at once, try and decide: leave or remove),
To make it more interesting, you have a third option:
pm_conbagui_welded_Text.py (Pocholo road)
viewtopic.php?f=9&t=18792

In the BA Conbagui Coin case:
Place svg files in any directory - you have to add them later using "Saved Vectors Directory"

In the welded text folder, the caramelvanillachocolate.py file is there, not the welded one. Here's what I have:

Brian was using text-along-path-0.4 (2/29/2014) and it works with that version.
The latest version of text-along-path is v1.6 and 3 other parameters have arrived - I'll check what can be done in this case.

The welded text plugin throws an error:

Also the color spark brushes are missing. I looked into the plugin and it is supposed to have 4 color spark brushes.

Please try version 2 again.
Text-along-path-04 by Ofnuts has been built into the plugin (no need to download and install) so it doesn't conflict with ofn-text-along-path.py (V-1.6).

The example upside down. Is it possible to flip the files?

Do you flip them after the plugin has been ran?

No, I imported the svg files into GIMP, then flipped them horizontally, exporting them back and overwriting them.

Run the plugin, and after it completes, turn off the layer images, and open the path dialog. Notice that a and b are in the wrong locations. "A" svg should be on top, and "B" svg should be on the bottom. When you first use the plugin, the text is mirrored (a result of the svg paths being swapped somehow). Using the guides on the first run, Select A.svg path layer, and using Flip tool set to Vertical, click on the center horizontal guide line. Then set Flip to horizontal and select the vertical center guide line. Export the A.svg back to where you stored it. Repeat the same process on the B.svg.

Download the updated plugin here -----> viewtopic.php?f=9&t=18138&start=90#p256306

Some changes to Ver.3 BA Conbagui Coin - most important: unnecessary path import (svg), you don't need to create an initial image...

BA Conbagui Welded Text.

Old orginal version:
https://gimplearn.net/viewtopic.php?f=3 ... Text#p7106

Before running the plugin, it requires two layers:
1. Bottom layer - Background Image must be 1920 Width x 1080 Height (bug fixed).
2. Top layer - with text, must be active.

It also requires installed:
1. LayerFX.py or LayerFX-2.10.py
2. LayerFX.scm
3. Additional patterns.
In menu Gimp: Brian/BA Conbagui Welded Text
No parameters to set.

New vesion 2.

Requires:
1. LayerFX.py or LayerFX-2.10.py
2. Additional patterns.
In menu Gimp: File/Create/Logos/BA Welded Text 2...

All required additions in the attachments.

Edit: new attachment uploaded (Thanks Mackenzieh for pointing)

I ran version 2 of this plugin twice. Once with the layers merged and once without the layers merged
Merged layers welded text:

The text layer is missing on both versions.

Hmm, I'm going to try updated coin plugin out again.

Update:

This time around, it created an empty transparent image, jumped from that to a NEW transparent image where it completed the process (everything worked, but I got an additional blank image from it).

Welded-Text plugins do not use brushes - they are used only for the final - manual decoration of the result.
I'm not sure why the error was received - but I made one fix (deleted all HTML color notation). Please try again and write which version of layerFX you are using?

Regarding BA Gold Coin:
A typical error when the font size is too large for the text length (you need to reduce the font size or the text length).
Two images - that's a bug - I fixed it (Ver-3.1)

I am using Layer-FX2.10.py. Where is the updated coin plugin?
