Where is the updated welding text plugin? The two versions I have tried throw an error.

I still get the same error when running version 3 of the coin plugin:

The welding text plugin doesn't work either. Text is not visible in either option of merging the layers or not merging the layers.

Regarding Welded_Text_2.
Why the "BA_Conbagui Welded_Text_2_" plugin doesn't work for You?
Probably by the installed waves.exe [with gimp-2.8] but unfortunately the plugin is set differently. Delete wawes.exe or opt out of using this plug-in Welded_Text_2.

Regarding BA Gold Coin.
If you ran the plugin with default values - then the problem may be that the "Sans" font does not exist (only "Sans-serif" - another trap has been fixed) - and Gimp does not complain and replace it with whatever it wants (for you with something other than mine and for you it exceeds the maximum possible text size in to its length) - experiment by reducing the font size.
Did anyone notice - plugin did not create stars (despite "having" Stars design.gbr brush) - fixed in Ver.4 (post # 97)

Works like a charm for me. Thanks, MareroQ!

The coin plugin works:

The welded text plugin works:

The welded text plugin works without the waves.exe plugin. I find it strange that waves.exe conflicts with the welded text plugin.

The coin plugin no longer produces the grooves when selected to YES.. All it is, is just a flat unrealistic looking coin.

If the plugin has dependencies on other resources - fill them in to make it work.
I am playing with extending the possibilities (without installing additional components) - the basic version looks like this:

I got Brian's coin plugin to work. It's the spinning coin plugin that I can't seem to work. What goes into it, made my head hurt just reading it. Here's the plugin: https://www.gimplearn.net/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=790
Here's the spinning coin thread: viewtopic.php?f=9&t=19713

My posts in the thread are 15, 20, and 23.
