Graechan, Molly, MareroQ: thanks!
I downloaded and installed the one of Mareroq.
Marcello: the text with the uppercase letters is already the description of the pattern provided by MareroQ, no need to rename the .pat file, Gimp looks at the internal description. I installed it as is and I found it after refreshing the patterns with the capital letters: Blue Spikes. The filter works fine! Unfortunately it's very slow on my PC due to the used filter map to object, so I cannot experiment with many variations!...

Dinasset - Thank for the info
Graechan I like also the safari.scm ( in useful scrpt-fu section) here an example
Image

instead the steellogo.scm (useful script-fu4) is not working, the error "unbound variable: spline1" is the same that others found year ago ( see Gimp Plugin Registry comments)

Graechan re-wrote this filter a few years ago. :)

Marcello I entered some values for 'spline 1' they still look wrong, but script works
(gimp-curves-spline logo-layer 0 18 #(0 255 30 0 65 255 95 0 125 255 160 0 190 255 222 0 255 255))

Wow! I love the way it interlocks each letter. :)
