Actually no, I didn't ninja ya, Rod.

First of all, saulgoode pointed out that by removing TRUE, balloon.scm would work. We did that, and it worked.

Then Saul says, rounded corners would be nice, to which O agrees. The file was fixed at that point.

All I did was offer up the suggestions to make rounded corners, and because the code itself does have mismatches (numerical ones) O couldn't find the lines because of it. (using search)

Now, covering the current TRUE statement, if you compare gimp-rect-select with gimp-round-rect-select, you will see that round-rect has more parameters required in order for it to be valid when running. In the old gimp-rect-select line TRUE was about feathering. In gimp-round-rect-select, the TRUE statement covers anti-aliasing. TWO entirely different aspects to the use of TRUE.

A full 12 minutes went between our postings, Rod.

I'm just trying to help O get her rounded corners, no biggie. I'm no script guru and it doesn't matter who takes or gets credit. Hell, if anyone should get any credit, it should be saulgoode. Without a working script further improvisations wouldn't have been forthcoming. That's my point. The removal of ADD wasn't even part of the current discussion, which is what I am currently trying to point out, but something tells me I am now being considered rude, which I picked up from your "Whoa" comment.

I wish that worked. Did that, but they just didn't want to behave. I'm going to try rebooting the computer, as that's the only thing I haven't tried. But I think I'll try it in the morning. Have a great night all!

I'm not angry. I guess text has a way of making people appear angry, no idea. I'm more curious or puzzled. Sort of like "what's going on?"

I've warned myself about times like these a thousand times, not to read into things, so my other alternative is to address it, which most people just shy away. I'm not a wallflower, my job wouldn't allow it.

Helping is my only goal in spite of any rewards or lack of rewards (not sure I am saying that right).

I'm fine, really, hahaha... maybe video conferencing would eliminate that? For the future at least...

No apologies necessary, Rod.

O, have you got this thing working now?

PM: can you check your plugins browser to see if you have a copy of balloon.scm (or variant) already in your list? Because I had the same exact problem you did, until I discovered I already had a copy in my scripts (I don't ever recall downloading it, though). Also, if you extracted both files the FU one and balloon.scm, check and see if the FU version is still hanging around, it will block balloon.scm until you remove it.

Well mahvin I backed up in this post. I had missed your zipped balloon script and I have downloaded it and tried it out. It works perfectly. Thank you.

I have no idea why I am so persistent, O. I laugh at myself sometimes.

One time at a Boy Scouts Pow Wow/Summer Camp, one whole troop of Webelos did not know how to use a compass. Yet they had the badges that said they did. Unfortunately for the boys, there was a compass training fair that day and they all knew they would fail it. What do I do? I trained 25 boys how to use a compass a few hours before the fair, and got in trouble for it! The reason? They needed examples of boys who forget their training, and here ole Mahvin was eliminating potential suspects. The butt chewing commenced, but that group of boys later went out and pooled their money together and bought me one of the best Shrade pocketknives money can buy. It's a funny feeling being embarrassed and honored at the same time.

You're welcome, but thank Saulgoode, too. He started it. In fact, if anything didn't work, I was going to blame him anyway. :) Just kidding, Saulgoode!

No one who expects to be able to use gimp will learn how without being persistent. Nothing wrong with that.
