For the spinning coin, what is the preferred method used?
The method people will like the most, some like the Brian's script for its simplicity, some prefer G'MIC for the lighting and different options, some prefer the Ella's tutorial for doing it manually (excellent tuto BTW), in the end it's the people call and what they are happy with

I can't get Brian's script to work. (See posts #15 & #23)
Brian's script works just fine and is
very easy to use, but you do need to have 3 layers to start with or it will not work.
Top layer should be = the Front of the coin
Mid layer should be = the Back of the coin.
Bottom layer should be = the pattern for the coins outer edge
I'll try to let you grab the concept for the script to work, no fancy things, it's just to grab the concept
Create New image 500x500px
Then go to: Image >> Guide >> New guide (by Percent)... /
Horizontal 50%Go again to: Image >> Guide >> New guide (by Percent)... /but this time select
Vertical 50%Now grab the Ellipse Tool
![Elipse Select :elipse](./images/smilies/ElipseSelectTool.png)
Click in the middle of your image on the crossing guide and drag out the ellipse (start to drag out and while dragging hit Ctrl+Shift to get a perfect circle starting from the center) then fill with a color
(
keep the selection active, thus do not deselect yet)

Then use the text tool and write "H" and merge it down by clicking on that icon (red arrow)

Then in the menu: Image >> Crop to content (Very important to do it now)
Then create a new layer (selection is still active) fill with a color
Then Text tool and Write "T"
Then same as previously click on the icon to merge down

Now you can deselect >> Select >> None
Put the "T" layer below the "H"
Now create a New layer and made a texture like I did just above at #39
Then Put that layer at the very bottom!
Now you can start the Brian's script
