Thanks, 'tux. BTW - I finally got the sig thing resolved as you can see. I think it was just the size that was keeping it from being displayed. Once I rezied it, no problem.

Can I pester you one more time for the USA font. I looked under flag, usa, america and never found it at dafont.

That font is called Patriot. That's the only search term you missed.

I like the font and colors you used in your example. It looks like sparkling jewels.

btw - The size of the uploaded image shouldn't matter. The forum software "should" automatically resize images in posts and in the sig block. Max width in posts is 760px and in sigs is 500x150. In the sig, it makes sense to stay within the limits. In posts, it's resized to keep the browser from expanding for those will lower resolution displays. Larger images are cool (and needed) in posts. Highslide JS is used to expand larger images on Gimp Chat.

What version of GIMP are you using? I'm not sure if this script has been tested on GIMP 2.7.x. Perhaps the procedure resize-from-layer has changed a in 2.7.x. I've been waiting for 2.8 before updating this one.

You do need to copy the included patterns into your patterns folder for this script to work properly.

I'm running 2.6.11 and 2.7, but put everything in 2.6.11 and all patterns where copied to the patterns/. The doc said to do that. Whoops...

You bet, but was purely by chance. Now figuring out how to use it.
PS All of the other animations of your scripts are working now too.

The only problem with Gimp-2.7.5 + GAP.2.7 is I can't save it as an animation file. It has no extensions when trying to save as that I have found. SWF yes, but BIG when I bring it up with Firefox. The whole page. Yikes...

Most animation scripts, including this one, expect you to save the animation as an animated .gif, so anything other than that might produce unexpected results.

you should be able to save as animated gif,( that as gnutux said may be the best choise for a animated logo)or as swf...in theory even as avi but for a animation of few layers may be not the case

And last if you want insert the animated text in a video you may use Gap (Video/split image into frames) for save as a series of png)

I did not include the APNG plugin because i found a bit too buggy,and sometimes conflict with the "normal" png plugin

BTW in gimp 2.7 you may "save" only as xcf, for any other format you should "export" or you will get a error

All seems to be ok now. I wasn't seeing all of the extinctions before. I shut the app down and brought it back up, but I can not save it a a png+apng. Is gif the only way?

That's it. gif only for animation, but that's ok. It works.
