When you hit the 'Refresh' button, it updates the plugins. If you try it, I'm sure you'll like it!

I trust you mean Filters > Script-Fu > Refresh Scripts. It doesn't change a thing for me. I still have no light settings.

No; G'MIC has a built in refresh button (sort of obscure). Just click it (have to be online of course) and it will update all the built in presets if an update exists.

I like the way the new Lathe option works. I have made some pretty cool looking objects. But I receive an error at times. (See attached image.) Am I setting something too high? Is there a limit on the size of the image? Can someone offer some advice on this error?

Yes, one of the first things i do whenever i open C'MIC is push that little button to see what surprises are in store.There always seems to be a new addition each time.David really outdoes himself with this plug-in suite.

Refresh the filter again there is something new now !
(There is even a new beta, but anyway filter must be refreshed)

I have GMIC but how do I get GMIC lathing. I having been looking all over for it.... BTW very nice urn PC....

Well finally, the way to do it. I was clicking the refresh button in Scrip-Fu refresh. Wasn't working.

It behaves ever so much better now. I was not getting much out of it.

Interestingly, you don't have to use an actual shape. Put some white squiggly lines or shapes on a black bg and the filter makes a lathed shape of it. The white arrows turned into the shape on the right. I also had a gradient to color the final shape. An edge smoothing selection would be nice in the filter.

I push that refresh button every time i open G'MIC =)
