That statue of Liberty is very cool. I tried to download obj's and they ended up as jpgs or pngs. I don't know how to download from that site.
Shouldn't it end up with a .obj extension?

Molly,
if you scroll down a little lower, while viewing a certain file on that site you'll see something like this
Image
if you click on download you'll get a zipped file, in that zipped file there'll be a folder, inside that folder will be many files, one of which will be an .obj file.

@trandoductin, I found a .obj and downloaded it. I found the BMW.obj in the list along with all the jpg's.
I opened Gimp, went to file/Open Object File and nothing happened so I made a default layer, then made a black layer above it. I then opened the plug-in, then selected the bmw.obj then ran the script at default. All together before it crashed it was up to 15 minutes.
First, it went through, finding unique vectors, then finding unique edges, then went into the drawing. It crashed about half way through the drawing mode.
I don't know what I did wrong. Was I supposed to open a layer to make the script work, and what size should it have been. I also ran the script at default. Other than that, I am stuck.

try using this version ->found here<-
this version doesn't bother with the finding unique vertices so it's a little faster.
And select "Yes" for auto-scale, it'll try to fit it to your canvas.

well that looks nothing like a BMW. Odd. Not too sure maybe the .obj file isn't right.
in the mean time here's a happy moving buddhaImage

ok, I will give up on it.
There must be a way of getting a list of those files without downloading a bunch of jpgs. I looked in Bing and google but didn't see any.
Oh well, I wouldn't be using it that much anyway, just wanted to see if I could make one work.
Thanks trandoductin
