After removing ALL the dll files from the gegl/plugins and leaving just the clay text, this is the result. Default settings... I realize that the font might be considered "Small" text, however the default results even with fatter font styles seem extraordinarily blurry.

Updated again with a different default preset that has a higher success rate on most text. Especially thin text. A change to text spelling has been made but nothing relating to the function of Clay.

This isn't happening for me at all and I only have one binary. Is the text very dark as clay bevel does not work with very dark text? Clay bevel does not work on dark text for the same reason emboss doesn't.

Updated again with a warning not to use very dark or black text. I can say with the strongest confidence that clay bevel does not depend on any zz operations. I removed all plugins but clay.so, restarted gimp and it still works.

I’ll upgrade later this evening and see. I keep all filters in their own folders within GEGL plugins, just to prevent filters from affecting the others.

All you have to do is test it on non black or very dark text.

If for some reason it is still doing this I will do an emergency role back to the version from a few days ago with multiple binaries.

Clay has been updated again with an opacity meter to make it wider. Now it exactly resembles its ancestral graph made in April-May 2022 here.

It's working very well now. Thanks!

Clay got an update that solved a hidden downgrade I didn't want to tell anyone about.

The previous version of Clay Bevel that only had one binary had an issue where sliding the color opacity meter down destroyed the entire filter. This version does not have that problem and now it is exactly like the original. I think rock text has the same problem and I can get into fixing that.

Clay Bevel will not be deprecated due to it having internal median blur settings that for some reason do not work in custom bevel. I was thinking hard about deprecating it and that is a reason why.

Windows Binaries here.

NOTE ALL WINDOWS BINARIES ARE ALSO FOUND ON THE GITHUB RELEASE SECTION.

Put the file in
C:\Users\AppData\Local\gegl-0.4\plug-ins
https://github.com/LinuxBeaver/GEGL-Cla ... /releases/

and create the `plug-ins` folder if it doesn't exist.

- Also I would like to add that Clay Bevel is literally Multiply of Custom Bevel with an additional Median Blur. Knowing this Clay might be deprecated very shortly. The only reason I keep this filter is because it is simpler to use then custom bevel.

Clay and many other plugins of mine can now be used inside an experimental branch of GEGL Effects along with other major text styling plugins of mine. This version of GEGL Effects will replace default GEGL Effects if you already have it. OVERWRITE ALL BINARIES.

Read instructions to download it is not in the normal release section.
