Want to communicate a curious finding.
It happens often that a user of one of our filters applies some post-process to get a final result closer to own taste.
By chance, I used an outcome of R filter to see what GMIC Anguish produces, then I set the new layer to OVERLAY; result looks interesting IMO.
Then, just did the same but applying GMIC Aurora; again an interesting result.
Here the 3 outcomes:

We have prepared and tested a variant of effect R, called R2.
Outcomes show softer "impasto" strokes, which can be more suitable for many images, particularly people.
We present it here, for those who can be interested.
