thank you - couldnt have done it without everyone at gimp-chat.
I found this thread late in the list so i have to go back and try some others. I printed 4x6 inch pics for the ladies of the local farm. the images were from photos of there vegetable stand

RE: Effect E: everyone's' results look interesting

i had a failure on samj - impressions > that filter fails for some reason
--i have to update Gmic from 2.9.2 up to the next version - that has also
been giving me some issues. I will look for that help in the appropiate thread
and mvoe up to effect F :-)

@ Issabella : thank you for that - i am sure it is an issue with my gimp or gmic versions.

Still loving all these things to experiment with.
Yet there are things i see in other threads that have results but i try to replicate
and i cant. but its fun trying and finding other neat effects i was not expecting
