I had a comment about the size of the dialog box the opens. For me it is also too big to fit the screen. Any solution yet?

Not yet, sorry. I'm looking into porting the plugin to use GTK to create a custom interface, but it's taking me a while as I'm not very experienced with this stuff...

Concerning the Gimp Registry -The captcha at the registry does that to me also, but not all the time.Sometimes i can re-edit a post once then i have to enter it again. :lol

dd it will be great if you figure it out.That would be something i could see added to Gimp for future versions.
An option to make all dialogs smaller.Maybe in Edit/Pref/Allow Sizable Dialogs.

Since you guys are so great, you get to try it first before I upload it to the registry... (of course I'm hoping you'll report any possible bugs to me ;) )

Hello fellow GIMP's

my statistics are in my sig (which I hope shows up)

I would LOVE to have this Selection bevel but for some reason the python thing doesn't seem to be working. yes, I placed the file in my "/home/cecilia/.gimp-2.6/plug-ins" folder and made sure it was executable. And made sure it's called "bevel1_41.py" without the "txt"

what am I missing?

hu...apparently nothing!!

Start gimp from the terminal with command "gimp --verbose" ...to check what happens when gimp load the plugins at starting time.

copy the terminal output and paste in your next message

no needs for Ubuntu

opss ...maybe you upgraded Python ?
but anyway better start gimp in verbose mode the console output should clear the problem

I was thinking along the lines of Pygtk, PyCairo, and Pygobject, do the Linux distros need those? I was thinking no.

But wouldn't they have some dependencies that required the dev versions in Linux?

It looks like your ppa version came without the gimp python dependencies. You'll need to download a more complete package that includes it.
