My Experiments On GMIC Testing filters: Simple Graphics (now 14)

The outcomes look more or less nice depending also by the set-up of your PC Screen.
And each effect can be further adjusted by operating on the OPACITY.

Post 691 - mountain-landscape / fine - looks great, but you know i tend to artistic but still retain some details

But funny thing is that i also really like the people in the woods in post 692. That looks like it was painted - and the lack of detail works wonderfully there .

Feedback on 693 - with the extra processing step - those outcomes are better - i agree

Here are two using 'burn' (regular / basic) .. and i lowered the opacity on each (see filename)
--ok ok , i admit, i do like this effect. the initial image is important

Great "basic" look outcome!
Pointillist Artists would be happy (they couldn't use computers to make very small dots....). Basic look renders more or less the dimension they could afford.

i like to experiment with the final results

one thing i dont understand in GIMP - when your .py is complete - if i turn 'on'
the very top eye sometimes the image changes even though that top layer is 'normal'
--i would not expect that layer to change anything or to be different then if all the other layers
were turned 'on' and the top winked 'off'

i hope that is clear. or i can attach GIMP screen

I noticed that myself, but I do not know why.
It happens sometimes, as you say.

Leftyleo, yes, sometimes it happens (not always) I ignore that layer and experiment with the rest of layers if not completely satisfied with the result. :bigthup
