By fabric settings I meant that I left the same values that appear when the window opens. The problem seems to be when the script calls the G'MIC. I noticed that there is a certain delay and then comes the error message. The previous version worked fine.

I ran the script with the same defaults as you Carlos and this is what I got. Maybe Graechan will be able to figure it out.

Gimp version: 2.8.10
G'MIC version: 1.5.9.2
Graechan, when I run the script I have allways the same error message. I'll attach the screenshot of the whole screen. It seems to me that an error occurs when the G'MIC is called. I hope you can help me. Thanks.
Yet the Antique Metal script also calls the G'MIC and there is no problem

I ran the script in GIMP-2.8.10 windows-8-64 bit and had no G'MIC errors.

Thanks Rod and Molly for looking into the error Carlos is getting, but it seems no one else can duplicate it
so I,ll search through the script for what could be the cause (perhaps something to do with language translation)

no that should not be a problem but could you change all gradient and pattern settings to ones you see in your gimp

Graechan, now my Gimp language is English USA. The script stops running when it calls G'MIC.exe. I noticed that there is a slight delay (a few seconds) and then the error message appears.

Did you try to change your gradient and pattern settings?

Yes, I changed the pattern and the gradient settings. I still have the same message error.

I ran the 3D-Fun in Gimp 2.6 and G'MIC 1.5.8.1 and it worked very well. So the problem is with Gimp 2.8 or version 1.5.9.2 of G'MIC. I can not understand.

Cool Carlos, at least now it is working and maybe Graechan can make some sense as to why.

this is extremely cool!
my 3D shapes are sinking in an ocean of toruses (tori)

I don't know if it's possible but if there was an option to set so that each torus had their own rotations and rotated during the animation. Or if some toruses were drawn in front of my shapes then it would really look like my shapes are sinking, but that's probably too much to ask for :)

Here's another try by doing 2 animations and deleting black background on 2nd animation then pasting it on 1st animation to create some torus in front of my shapes.

Nice variation, Tin.

These are just the kinds of issues you can encounter when 3rd party plug-ins are used as dependencies in scripts. It's just the "nature of the beast". :hehe

yeah? glad you like it.
I chose 30 frames so it's smoother animation.
and then some going left and the others going right. and deleted the white background and pasted them on top of each other.

Thank you everyone for testing my old script, It's a relief Carlos has found a fix for his problem as after pouring over the script yesterday I could find nothing that could indicate where the problem was coming from.
This script was written by myself some time ago as a test bed for running the Gmic plugin from within a script-fu, and is a lot of fun for creating fast and easy animations

Graechan,
I love it and on mine it does generate a gmic error but i think it's after all the animation layers has already been created so i just ignore it so it works.
It generates the error when i don't have an alpha art layer but the background animations are still created for me. so it's all good.

As the script is a logo script that creates everything required I don't understand the above comment

you have 2 scripts, one is alpha to logo and another is the logo, i use the alpha to logo one hehe
I consider it user error since i don't have an alpha art layer.
