sorry, I have no other idea at the moment, thanks for testing

edit: and my problem is also that the original version runs well for me, so I cannot compare with hypothetical new patches I can think about...

Mahvin have you tried running the filter in the scripts folder by itself? Remove all other scripts and try it. Maybe one is conflicting somehow. Worth a try.

I just tried that Rod, and same thing happens. It's just odd. Gonna try on my old laptop and see what it does.

What version LayerFX.py do you use?
Probably layerFX.2.8.
Not working properly - gives the same error:
Code: Select all
Error while executing script-fu-silhouette-color:
Error: (<unknown> Procedure execution of gimp-image-select-item failed on invalid input arguments:
Procedure 'gimp-image-select-item' has been called with value '-1' for argument 'item' (#3, type GimpItemID).
This value is out of range.


Try to change on layerfx.py

Good thinking MareroQ i had some problems with adding that version to some scripts before.

Interesting thought. Let me check that out.

That was it! Silhouette script is now working properly. I dumped the faulty LayerFX 2.8 py plugin and presto!

Yeah that module just doesn't like being called through scheme. Something to do with the layer groups. When the PDB calls an layer as a item. The layer stack is never correct. Kudos MareroQ for figuring this one out!
