Zeo do you mean new empty layers or copies of a drawable, and why?

So I do google on some related keyword, but I can't find any...

So is there a script to make several new layers in an instant rather than click one by one?
For example 5 new layers just one errr... click...

If you take in account the input of the number of layers, that's likely more clicks than clicking on the "New layer" icon once in the Layers list, plus N-1 clicks on the "Duplicate layer" icon.

Oh yes, at the end it's more simple just to click new layer several times...
So there is no plugin like that on the first place... :gimp

Empty, transparent new layers, like clicking layer>New Layer>Create New Layer window with layer name and 'transparency' fill layer...

If you asking why... For a certain occasion I already know exactly know the number of layers needed and purpose of each layer (for example, layer 1 for hair selection, layer 2 for clothes selection, etc, etc, etc....)

Hmm... Actually I think I just need under than 10 second to manually doing that, but GimP automation will be more cool... And that's the reason...

If you do that you are going to enter a different name for each layer... what will a script save you?

If Graechan is going to create a "Template Script" for your designs, you should consider more descriptive layer names like hair, clothes, etc....

For me it would be much quicker to Shift-Ctrl-N -> Enter once, then click on duplicate a few times than going
to the menu to find a script, opening it, setting values in it and only then clicking OK.
And if you assigned a keyboard key to 'duplicate' operation, you don't even have to use the mouse at all.
But then again, I'm a shortcuts junkie, got used to it.

You can assign a keystroke to a script too. With no parameters, one key stroke could get you a design template with your all your initial layers named and ready to go.
