launched the filter with defaults, got the following error:
GIMP Error
Calling error for procedure 'gimp-brush-get-pixels':
Procedure 'gimp-brush-get-pixels' has been called with value '(null)' for argument 'name' (#1, type gchararray). This value is out of range.

is my version out of date?
(in spite of the error message the spyrograph is produced)

maybe you do not have the default brush, use the brush widget to select another

Graechan, I discovered why (and I put this info here in case somebody else should encounters this strange behaviour):
- if on the tool option the active brush is empty, than the "browse" option does not work
Strange, isn't it?
Whatever is in the active brush EXCEPT EMPTY, everything OK:
-the script does not send an error message (it looks likely to the active brush and in the empty case gives the message I posted)
-when clicking the "browse" buttom you get the selection window
"tutto è bene quel che finisce bene" (Italian motto)

I found it before but every time I try to do a frame it goes over my picture, not around it.
