Was looking for something to make a circle look all like glass.
So I selected the outside and inverted it and got this

@SallyAnne
is this what you did expect?
If not: could you put here the original?

Thanks very much dinasset. That fixed the problem. The script now works like a charm with my larger images.

Thanks for your help.

At the time I couldn't see anywhere else where it could be done. Maybe I overlooked something. (EDIT - I knew there was something in G'MIC - but it is quicker here.) That was the kind of thing I wanted.

On this on I framed the outside without bevel, with textured glass and carved - in the centre.

Very nice every one.
Dinasset, I love your plate, it would be nice to be able to make it 3 dimensional to give it depth like a plate sitting on a table, it is so very pretty, it would made a nice lunch set.

IMPORTANT!
Thanks to Graechan, who provided to me a version of my script amended in such a way NOT to depend any more on the layer-fx plug-in (the functionality has been included), I posted just now version 1.1 under GimpScripts.
For those who do prefer get it here, I post also here the new version (zipped)

It's there now. The script was scheduled to be published at a later time.

The problem is that the name of the script has been changed. Users won't know to delete the old version and could end up with the two versions in their scripts folder. I think once released, it's not a good idea to change the name of a script, unless the PDB and Menu registrations are renamed as well.

The original name was: DIEGO_Glass-Frame-Effect.scm

It's a minor issue, dinnaset. To avoid conflicts and/or confusion, I would recommend keeping the name consistent or updating the Menu & PDB registrations in the script.

I agree with GnuTux It's not a good Idea to change the name of a script.
