Diego, is there a hope to use this filter again ?

It's a real pity not to be able to use this and other nice filters you Dinasset did. But I understand your reasons and all of us will wait for a stable interface in G'MIC. But you did another many adapted ones to enjoy them.

I now get this error message.

The error only occurs when "Curves Process?" is set to brighten.

I can't help at that point. I test it and not problem with curves. My settings and result.

Francis, taking your comment as a stimulus I translated my original .scm script into a .py script and replaced all G'mic calls with Gimp calls.
