Hi everyone,
I hope you all are having a great day. I am a little confused about the GIMP# install even though I know the steps have all been given here somewhere. I am still trying to get it installed after 3 days of trying to figure out how

. I am using Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium 64 Bit OS. I also have GIMP 2.6.11 running. I am ready to install GIMP#0.17 because I saw somewhere that would work better with the GIMP 2.6.11. I have downloaded an unzipped the GIMP# files. I have also installed the Mono 2.10. What do I need to do next? I looked at the install file and couldn't make heads or tales out of it.

I have copied and pasted the contents here hoping that some one here who is familiar with it and can explain to me how and where I should install GIMP#:
"To install Gimp# you will need Mono 2.8.x or higher. Gimp# will
work with GIMP 2.6. GIMP 2.4 (and lower) is not tested anymore.
Building Gimp# is easy:
1) unpack the archive
2) $ cd gimp-sharp-0.17
3) $ ./configure
4) $ make
5) become root
6) $ make install
Note: configure has the option --with-unittest which will build the
UnitTest plug-in. --with-incomplete and --with-pdn will build
additional incomplete (yet) plug-ins.
The files will be installed in your GIMP plug-in directory, for
example in /usr/local/lib/gimp/2.0/plug-ins/
At the moment Gimp# will install 14 plug-ins for you:
/Filters/Picture Package
/Filters/Photoshop Actions
/Filters/Artistic/Ministeck
/Filters/Artistic/Pointillize
/Filters/Blur/Average
/Filters/Distorts/Fragment
/Filters/Light and Shadow/Raindrops
/Filters/Render/Forge
/Filters/Render/NCP
/Filters/Render/QR
/Filters/Render/Sky
/Filters/Render/Splitter
/Filters/Render/Swirlies
/Filters/Web/Slice Tool
You will also get plug-ins to read wbmp (wireless bitmap), GEM and
KoaloaPaint (old CBM64 format) files.
If you want to have jpeg2000 support (the ecw plug-in) you will have
to install the ecw jpeg 2000 SDK first (
http://www.ermapper.com/ecw/).
If you want to build the Colorize plug-in you will have to install the
UMFPACK library (
http://www.cise.ufl.edu/research/sparse/umfpack/) first."
Those are the install instructions. Could someone simplyfy? For example where it says
"Building Gimp# is Easy" what do I need to do to build it with the information given?
Thank You
