the second part is how do the same but quickly with GMIC and the Tom "watercolor" filter.

That's a nice filter. There are sooooo many settings in it and the tutorial explains them but ... argh!

There is not a lot of filters that realize the effects of watercolors in G'MIC.
I try to create one (Filters > G'MIC > Testing > Samj > Test Watercolor)
The filter is not finished, I have to simplify and create brushes.
Here are the first results.

that's a really ambitious looking tutorial! i want to try it, but i fear it will simply eat my time .
