I can't find any recent info on GAP. I could only find one tutorial and it was 13 years old. Does no-one actually use it. The Interface blew up way too big on my Linux Mint. I had to set the panel to auto-hide to make it fit. Does anyone know how to make an animation with it or should I just use the limited anim. already in Gimp. :gaah

Check the Tutorials Index for GAP tutorials. A few ccbarr tutorials are a good place to start like, GAP Apply Layer Mask To Animation.
At Gimp.org, Using GAP & Advanced Animations Tutorial

Also check the Linux gimp-gap documentation or at GitHub: gimp-gap/docs/

Thank you, Odinbc. Now I only have to solve the screen size prob. I have to set the panel to autohide whenever I want to run GAP.

Your window manager should allow you to do a mouse drag while holding down the ALT key to move your window around.

This script should add a scroll bar on the right side of the GAP interface window so that you can scroll up and down in it.

Yes, but I have my panel at the top and can't go past it without autohide.

I have that script but it doesn't affect the "Move path" window. I am on Gimp 2.8.10 so I have the v1 script maybe the 2.8.14 v1.1 is different.

I found the panel-setting to allow the window to go under the panel so the whole window now shows. Trade off is I have to remember to right click the panel to close the window.

It just dawned on me that GAP is not a script so the scroll bar would certainly not work in it.
