This is a big step in the right direction.
LayerFX.py is fine for Gimp-2.10, but only for Windows - as many Linux versions no longer offer support for Python2 (you'll have to install it yourself - but not everyone wants or can).
Probably no one will rewrite LayerFX.py for Python3.
Since there are at least two versions scripts of LayerFX: Jonathan Stipe (newer) and
Iccii (older vesion - only updated for Gimp 2.10) - for the sake of a uniform standard (as they differ in the number of parameters and the name in PDB), I suggest to prefer only this version.
Just two requests to
Vitforlinux:
1. Add new layer modes;
2. Keep the old location with original names.
