That's a good thing, Lyle. Glad it did that.

I was thinking fencepost's animated highlight tutorial would be cool along those slinky coils.

I have just uploaded v0.2 to sourceforge. It implements a radical rewrite of the end-of-stroke processing that should fix most problems (*).

(*) It turns out that Gimp mis-computes the length of strokes or at least is inconsistent. In one call it says a stroke is 800 pixels, but when you ask for the pixel at 800 it's not there (you may have to go down to 799.2 to get something).

Oh, no! We were inundated yesterday. Please, oh please, no more rain. :hexer (sun dancer)

Here is v2.0 plus the messages I got with it. It said errors, but it came out fine.

Nice ones... you are getting the hang of it.

These messages are informative only, they tell you how much your requested pitch has been skewed to produce closing curves. Should think about removing it in the next version. But on my Gimp it goes to the error console only... different settings?

Always point it out if I do something wrong. Please. I need correction, too, yanno. That was a careless mistake on my part.

http://www.py2exe.org/old/ Any Chance someone could use that and Make me an exe that would run in GIMP without Python?

Unlikely... and given the time you will spend on that, why not install proper python support in Gimp? Once you get a bit expert in Gimp, you will want to write scripts, and Python is easier to learn than Scheme (and can be used elsewhere).

Use the tutorial i posted earlier in this thread at gimpusers.
viewtopic.php?f=9&t=1316&start=10#p15288
It will show you exactly how to download and install all the needed files for Python-Fu.
If you run into a problem, i'll be glad to assist you.

You will simply love Python added to Gimp. :)
Sooo many more wonderful filters to explore.

That's exactly what I had to do. Ofnuts had just created the wrap map filter and I had to have it so I followed the procedure but not exactly at first (which was a mistake). You have to follow the procedure exactly including downloading the old python files (the program that GIMP Windows require won't work otherwise; a shame but that's life). Also, only use 32-bit version as per the instructions. Then you will have to re-install GIMP (unlike the procedure, here you don't have to un-install GIMP; just re-install it). :)

Remember too that you have to click the customize button when Gimp re-installs.
Then you will see the python script square to tick. :)
