Will these scripts that Diego modified for 2.8, work in 2.10?

Just inserted them into "scripts" of 2.10 Preferences/scripts and they seem to work, without changes.
If someone interested (mackenzieh?) wants to test them, and report any difference of behavior, pls do it.

For those interested (waiting for Gimp-3.0) version for Gimp-2.10.24 (with preview) is already available to try.

All GEGL needs is reeditable filters (smart layers), and the ability to call a composition or layer groups composition and it will be able to both smart filtersand adjustment layers. Gimp's Aux select might even be able to do smart objects. I hope we get to see this sooner then later.

I really like what these do in 2.10 but I keep getting errors. I wish someone could debug the code for 2.10.
Error while executing script-fu-color-overlay-adjustment-layer:

Error: Procedure execution of gimp-drawable-is-layer-mask failed on invalid input arguments: Procedure 'gimp-item-is-layer-mask' has been called with value '12' for argument 'item' (#1, type GimpItemID). This value is out of range.

I have plans to make a better version of this filter. Sadly it will not use GEGL but rather Gimp Layer Groups and script fu.

Perhaps ask the author?

Is there a layer or group with ID=12? (you can get layer ids with "Edit layer attributes" in the Layers list, this is the final number after the dash in the layer's name at the top.

I want to make a filter exactly like this but without errors and it uses layer groups.

If you cannot debug the existing code by yourself, how can you hope to improve on it? Because you will have to debug your own modifications...

Sometimes it's easier to recode from scratch, especially here considering that the code dates back to 2002, so around Gimp 2.0.0. A whole ocean has gone under the bridge since...
