A new member just posted this wondering (I think) if anyone could help them out with it.

Another user complained it was in German and they liked it as well, but wanted it in English.

So I used Google Translate to get into english, and posted it in that thread. I'm just posting this here so there is a link for it in the correct forum.

Note this is 100% someone else's work, I only translated, see the file for details.

Add Multiple Guides (in English)

The MK-2 has been built. Should this be the next question?

For anyone who missed this post, it is really helpful when needing guides in your image. Very easy to use, and accurate. I use it a lot. Thank you for putting it in English. I must have seen it in earlier posts before translated into English. Thank you so much for the translation.

I don't get it. What good is this old script when Gimp already has good guide tools like "Create guides by selection"?

Because old habits die hard if you are used to something. Or maybe he needs multiple guides distributed accurately?
I think the one by Ofnuts is useful, it has presets and you can add new custom presets if you want.
If I'm right, this 'add multiple guides' is bit awkward, you need to add them one by one.
'Add multiple guides in range' on the other hand is good, lot faster than creating multiple guides from selection.
Or how do you create fast for example 10x10 guides, distributed precisely using guides by selection?

Ofnuts guides plugin is very powerful but I do know that editing that '.ini' file will be challenge to some users.

A plugin from olden-times, GATtools, you can always find it in the gimp-plugin-registry site ;)

Just needed a little updating for Gimp 2.10. What advantage?
Enter all the guides in one dialogue
Save (and reload) the current guides to a set
A reasonable selection of pre-set guides, if needed.

Thank you so much, Rich. Some of those old filters still rule!

OK, I'll admit that rich2005's recommendation of GATtools is interestingly useful. It also allows you to save custom guides.
