Hello Script Coder(s) please help me in making a new script. I know nothing about scripting. :) I need this way:
I frequently use perspective tool in Windows XP GIMP 2.8.10 I work with pixels to shift the image. I find it difficult to place the cursor at an arbitrary point (say 23, 15) and then moving it exactly to other point ( say 83, 36) in an image. *Coordinates available at left bottom corner* It becomes very time - consuming when it comes to shifting all the 4 corners to required location. And if zoomed, the pixel further divides into decimals making things so much worse.
I here request to please upgrade this tool which asks the user where to shift all 4 corners in perspective tool.
Lots of Thanks in advance. :) Looking forward to advancements in the tool :D

the perspective tool is easy to use, if you have something in your picture which should have vertical+horizontal lines; the important thing is to set the direction to "corrective" /backward), then you move the grid to overlay the two or more reference lines in your picture

GIMP developers don't visit GIMP forums very often.

If you want to request a new feature, then you should use Bugzilla: http://www.gimp.org/bugs/

Try an alpha to selection on your rectangle or other object then use the perspective tool.

Use guides and snap to them.

Or you can use the http://www.arakne.es/en/dessign/gimp-gu ... merically/ guides lab plugin to get precise pixel location coordinates for two guides one verticle one horizontal. THEN use the perspective tool to snap to those guides. This plug-in will also create multiple guides with mirror as an option. :bigthup

Remember when you use this plug-in the x and y coordinates are backwards in the plug-in interface. So if the GIMP image window points reads 189 and 128 you would use 128 189 in the interface for the plug-in.
