This is to create a similar effect like shown here: http://gimpchat.com/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=4439
I thought it would be fun to that effect into a script. So here it is.

it'll be available under Script-Fu/Create New/Map Fold effect...

PS: script-fu experts... is there a way i can default the Shear Magnitude Y (the only adjustment i have right now) to a percentage of image height? if you know please show me how..right now i just have it default to 150..I think it would be friendlier if it starts off defaulting to a percentage of image height.

because of fractional math, this script was creating 1 pixel artifacts on some different widths.. i just updated the script to get select whole pixels so that this artifact would not occur.

Trandoductin - thank you very much for this; now all we we have to do is consider how to get auto 'pop outs' in the script :hehe

pop outs are probably too advanced since you probably have to do manual selection and stuff. i don't think i can automate that

This is a picture of my desk.
I just changed the drop shadow a bit, but nothing more.
Also my camera added a color cast to the image,
because my walls aren't that color.
They're more like a beige or sand color.

I almost ruined it! I accidentally saved it as a jpg, and had to get rid of the black background and make my own shadow. This time I remembered to make it a .png! Decided to make a folder of different relatives.
