In the original script, that happens if you don't have an alpha channel in your pic. In the animation, it could be that or maybe you didn't eliminate the base layer?

Animating it gave a strange output though

After you run the animate script,
you should still have shadows, what i do is i manually remove alpha channel so it would have white background with shadow, then save as animation.
Otherwise i think the shadow disappears because of .gif conversion can't handle opacity or something like that not sure.

Also when you remove alpha channel the layer's background takes on the color of your context background...so you might have to that to white before starting to remove alpha channels.
This script helps with animation, it doesn't do everything hehehe

So I thought butterfly animation ... perfect; got beaten to the punch.

Nevermind an eagle will be even better ... got beaten to the punch.

Now looking for something quite different. :)

Update version of animate script (instead of using percentage of height which causes error when height > width)
uses angle to animate (from 5 degrees to 55 degrees, increments of 5 degrees).

P.S. to script-fu experts. right now my script is hardcoding to call my sub function multiple times with 5,10,15,20,25,30,35,40,45,50,55 as angle to create frames. What i would like to do is add an adjustment as user input as max angle to animate to ..and a for loop of some sort to loop through starting from 5 up to this user input angle in increments of 5. But I don't know how to do a for loop in scheme... any pointers?. because that would make my script more flexible I think.

Okay i looked up how to do a while loop it's pretty simple.
So this version allows you specify max angle to animate to and number of frames you want to create.

Hey guys!

Searching for the subject Tri-fold-brochure, I got to the topic - Mapfold picture at viewtopic.php?f=23&t=4439 and then in the sequence I got here.

The tutorial is well explained and easy to follow. :bigthup

The script produces an excellent result. Thanks Tim for that other script! :tyspin

However I would like the script to be able to also produce results for tri-fold-brochures, with tri-folds and not just four-folds.

If anyone could update this plugin so that it would produce both 4 and 3 folds, I would be grateful!!

Thx!

Hi Krikor, in case you didn't see the PM I sent you, I recreated the Tim's Map fold script into a a GIMP plugin, are you still interested? I will post it in a new thread.
Ciao!

I hadn't really seen the PM.
If you hadn't warned me around here, I don't know when I would have noticed.
Thanks for your attention!
Ciao!
