Yes, I have the scrolling interface with Gimp 2.8 script, too. I installed it in portable Gimp 2.10.4 plug-ins folder. For any reason it doesn't work for me in your slab script.

I have two versions of Gimp 2.10.2 as portables (one from Partha and one from SamJ) on a USB key that my Slab filter works with scrolling a scrolling dialog.

I use a replacement version of the gimpfu file that puts a scrolling dialog window into all python plug-ins (as opposed to script filters that end in ".scm"). The location of the gimpfu file depend on where you saved the portable. If you open the folder you should be able to click on the folders within to reach find the gimpfu.
Probably something like:

Gimp-2.10\gimp\lib\gimp\2.0\python

I am sure that SamJ's version is very similar. I can check if you wish.

The python folder should contain the gimpfu file.

Download and unzip the python file.

Copy my version (gimpfu_original_2pt10_ammended) into the same folder.
Rename the original gimpfu to something else (just in case) e.g. gimpfy_old.
Now rename my version as gimpfu.

Now you should be good to go.

Thank you so much Skinnyhouse for your help. I have SamJ's version and the copy you kindly gave me doesn't work for me. Please, could you get SamJ's version? Thank you for your help. :tyspin

Hi again Issabella - we will get this right!!!

There are two possible locations for the new gimpfu file in the SamJ version.

Repeat the instructions above with the unzipped gimpfu alternative.

Where it works for me (64 bit I assume) is (looking in the folder you created for the portable ed): Look in

Gimp-2.10_Portable\lib\gimp\2.0\python

The other possibility is to copy the new gimpfu as per above (32 bit I assume) into and repeat the process:

Gimp-2.10_Portable\32\lib\gimp\2.0\python

Best of luck. Let me know and I will do what I can.

Here the font done using Skinnyhouse's design. Thank you so much for your help, Skinnyhouse. :)

As the font is over the weight allowed I post the font in two parts. You only have to open the second part as layers and you will get the whole font in a file. :)

I think this turned out really well Issa.

One of the things I like about using Custom Font Labels to make a new font face is the randomness of each character obtained - you never quite know what you're going to get. And if you need a particular character to have a specific part of an image you can always resort to copying manually.

I really like the colours (as well as the font shape) you have used here Issabella. It's very organic - plant leaves or rhubarb stems.

Me too - for these sorts of custom fonts it takes all the boring copying and pasting out of the process and leaves you free to enjoy the creative part.

OK, Graechan. :bigthup

To people who want to join the Custom Fonts files,
Open a part of the font done
then in Files - open as layers
choose the second part of the same font
you will get the whole font because all of the layers are in the same file
Keep the whole font as .xcf and name the new file.
:)

Yes the DivideTransBG.scm and also G'MIC Arrays & tiles>Extract objects will do it as well, but without cropping.

Where can I find the DivideTransBG script?

Are there tutorials on how to use the custom font script, the custom font composition script and Skinnyhouse's Custom Font Tools? If not, I think there should be in case users who use these scripts need a refresher.

Mahvin, has the script been updated? I ask because the one you attached looks nothing like this one:
Image

The script doesn't produce anything. I am using windows 10 64 bit, gimp 2.10.20.
