Yes, a fan!
Still have not exhausted the possibilities.
Here are a couple more using the first version.

how did you do the second one, Pat? I do not see the "chisel/carve" effect between the colour "pieces"

Very nice Pat! Did you use layer stack for the lineless effect?

Using the 1st version, here is a very nice subject.

I like the new setting, first use I forgot that gray set was in use and received many color not found selecting random messages. Saw the error, tried it again on a subject that normally would use the gray set on, and the message did not show. Went back to the highly colored subject with the 552rgb set and did not see the
color not found selecting random again.

Before it was part of the process to try to bring out clarity.
With the new setting, it may be more a process to remove the clarity..

By the way, I used the Chroma&Color, had Graphic Boost and Chroma Boost both on, 1.0 for the setting, and
move layer to the top selected. then play with layer stack, in general, from bottom up
on - normal, off, change to grain merge, change to saturation, change to hue, change to multiply, then duplicate the background layer 2x, and do whichever next possibly burn, screen, softlight
this is the basic pattern for the last few days, but it changes with whim.

It is enjoyable! Finally an acceptable "nebulae" (though this is only a galaxy)...
dozens of tries with the version one and had not achieved one to my taste.

Dinasset & Animicule: I just set the parameters on the script, no extra post changes. Then I played with moving the layer order around and the blend modes. Did I do something wrong?

Just wondering how you set your layers Pat.
My guess was (from bottom) layer 2 & 3 were not in use.

You very well might be right. I did not keep the xcf so I cannot check. I did a lot of manipulating of the blend modes and moving layers around until I got what I thought was satisfactory. From now on I'll keep the xcf file for awhile.

It's okay Pat, normally I only keep a few xcf's, if something was
not giving a good outcome try after try then I keep
it to revisit if a new idea comes to mind. If a good
outcome pops up first try (happens now and then) I never keep them.
Here is another one from 1st version, using the gray RGB set.

And one with lots of color for fun!

Amazing how clear and precise your images are, Animicule. I am still struggling with that.

usually do not get a good outcome in the first few tries.
often, the subject gets put aside until later.
sometimes a new treatment of layers works, and
it will be applied to the "put asides" with good results
on several at a time. Not every photo will give good results
and there are 100's of them on one of my drives - somewhere --
If you post a subject photo, I would be glad to try it
and post the xcf file with notes, though it may take a day or two.

Here is one using the new option and no layer play.
Nearly always I use chroma boost and graphics boost.
the selection for roundness 1.0 (but this is .5) and
it was sized the same as the subject.

There were a few older ones that I wanted to show.
Only version 2 from now on!
