I don't suppose we have a script which creates a lattice effect similar to this photo?
I'd be interested to use it if so.

Not a script that I know of. You could try weave though using differing widths and then colour after.

If you want a script, one of our coders may be able to make you one.

Although there are the metal scripts for different shapes like hexagons. Tutorial is here viewtopic.php?f=23&t=7996&hilit=metal+pattern&start=40 and a script was made for it. It would be better to do the tut though as you can change the background (You cannot with the script).
The 'Wire art text logo may be able to be used which could be changed a little. I will have another look at them.
Here is the square wire art text logo done with a 'colour tint' and transparent background. If you do not have anything in the middle you only get a border and no mesh.

Should find this under Script-fu logos and Script-fu 'alpha to logo'

Oh akky, I don't think any scripts have been made to work with the Gimp 2.9 yet.

thanks Sallyanne, I really want a diamond shaped lattice effect ...I might have to fiddle with drawing it with straight lines I think
