Hmm - the last title was rather menacing so decided to change it and add an examplar.

A utility script to resize an image to the windows screen size for use as wallpaper.
The caption style is deliberately low key for minimum distraction.

Example crops...

I decreased the size of this image so I could post. Your script enlarged it with good resolution without any problem. Thank you very much for your program. I'm sure I will use it a lot as I have many pictures that I would like as wallpaper.

Thanks for the picture Pat. That's exactly the reason I wrote the script in the first place - to get the most out of all those images stored away on my computer and to make life as easy as possible. Sometimes we men hide our menfolk away - so here's mine from a long time ago - before I found Gimp. It certainly shows - so don't look too closeley at the inserted male who was on the other side of the world at the time.

That is very nice. I had found that so many of our pictures has faded or reddened in our albums. So I searched for programs to fix them as much as I could. I found GIMP! Then since I had no photography skills I looked for tutorials and general instructions. After several years, I found GimpChat. Wonderful!! I can't say enough about this forum and the people in it. I've had help with photos, learned new techniques, exposed to art, and crazy colors and textures. I am enjoying all of this. Thank you for your contribution. I now use those hidden away photos as screensavers and wallpaper on my computer where they can be seen everyday. They are not turning red either!
