thanks to all who download and use it, but I consider it more like a "toy" and want to give some warnings:
-as you have seen in the process of producing the reflection the filter starts the reflection at the "horizon line", defined by the top most pixel of the selection(s); this suggests to create selections "close" to a top horizontal line, and -if more than one areas selected- with the top most line more or less at the same height, otherwise the reflection could appear unnatural
-sometimes it is useful to "postprocess" the result if the selection(s) did cut part of the subject in an unnatural way; fo instance in the bottom part of the reflection cut out from a meadow/lawn you may have to restore a bit of grass to make the bottom margin look more natural

Anyhow, it's fun to play with it to create particular effects. Enjoy

Dinasset: Go ahead and create your Gimp Art thread. I can see playing with this filter will be a lot of fun!

Good results, Dalia and Dinasset. I played a little more, too.

from now on, please post any new experiment under the GimpArt thread (this will be reserved to updates related to the filter or questions and answers about it)

thanks Doron, nice effect.
If you don't mind, place your new experiments under the correlated GimpArt thread;
as Odinbc suggested in another post, the GimpScripts thread should be used only for the first outcomes then later for questions and answers concerning the filter. Thanks.

I love the effect, but so far I have only been able to use it on my Windows 7 computer, and not on my home computer running Linux. It doesn't even show up in the menu....

Would anyone have any ideas why it's not working in Linux? I would think it might be conflicting with another plug-in, but since it works on one computer, I don't see why it wouldn't work on the other.....

Any thoughts or ideas are welcome.
:D

Is there a way to smooth the edges between the pond and the photo itself?
Btw, that's me and my daughter at Rio 2016 Paralympics.

did you use the new parameter "Border blur"? You may increase the default 6pix

Warp by John P. Beale should be in all models of GIMP. :)
