Hi,

Is it possible to code an action in GIMP for selecting themes by merely hitting some short-cut key, without necessarily opening the preferences dialog, Much like in Photoshop?

Would be fun.

It looks like that Gimp 2.8.18 can only tell you where themes are at home,

Python Console output:

theme_dir = pdb.gimp_get_theme_dir()
theme_dir
C:\\Program Files\\GIMP 2\\share\\gimp\\2.0\\themes\\Default

and no other info about 'theme' ...
So I see at this moment for 2.8.18 no chance to save you some seconds :)

There is no way for scripts to alter the UI. You can't even close an Image window that wasn't created by the script itself. This is a conscious design decision AFAIK.
