With this script along with "Mutiple Shadows" Script.
You can create something like this.

don't try more than 16 layers of colors though as 16 layers takes less than 5 minutes closer to 3 minutes to multiple shadows on a 500x500 about there image.
32 layers took 1 hr 4 minutes

I really like the effect of the top image.

Mine will run and paste all 16 colored layers but then it quits. The selection is there but the filter closes.
I do have multiple shadows installed.

Windows 10 64 bit with GIMP-2.8.16 64 bit.

yep just run multiple shadows script after running stack layers by colors.
you don't have to have a selection or anything, it selects none at the beginning anyways.

Hey Tran; is there any way to add a reverse layer order feature (did this manually for the result below)? Anyway, again, pretty darn cool python plugin. :)

With reverse flag to allow user to have from Dark to Light colors

Thanks a heap, Tran. Using Polygonize (Delauney) before your preset (reverse enabled) gives you a pretty darn cool paper cutout simulation. Used my extracted tithonia flower for this. Of course I added some contrast enhancements using G'MIC as well and blended in a paper texture. :)
