Neat plug-in but can you add the ability to use transparency. The filter will not pick up a color from alpha and crashes when attempting to do a colored text image. Perhaps on alpha areas it could pick up the color white?
Also it will not allow me to pick under 5 pixels of area.

This is the gradient colored text on a white bg merged.

Or perhaps it could work on a selected area of colored image/layer?

Same image with brush radius set to 12 and color pick at 5 pixels of area.

please try version 2 - supports transparency and can work on selection.

No.
But colorify tries to colorify the brush so if the brush isn't pure white to start with which it isn't, it turns out darker.
